Comparison

FOXO4-DRI vs Kisspeptin

Function

While FOXO4-DRI acts as a senolytic in preclinical models by promoting apoptosis of senescent cells, improving tissue function and healthspan measures in aged animals38, Kisspeptin is a key regulator of the hypothalamic–pituitary–gonadal axis, controlling puberty and fertility; kisspeptin-10 also inhibits trophoblast invasion and tumor metastasis in experimental models339199.

Mechanism

While FOXO4-DRI works as a D-retro-inverso peptide derived from a FOXO4 region that competes with endogenous FOXO4 for binding to p53, thereby releasing p53 to trigger apoptosis selectively in senescent cells38, Kisspeptin is a family of peptides (eg, kisspeptin-10, -13, -14, -54) derived from the KISS1 precursor that activate G-protein–coupled receptor KISS1R (GPR54), triggering GnRH release and regulating pubertal onset and reproductive axis activity339199.

Length and Sequence

FOXO4-DRI is amino acids long, whereas Kisspeptin is longer as it has a length of 10 amino acids. FOXO4-DRI is made up of a sequence of sequence data not available in the current dataset. Kisspeptin is made up of a sequence of Tyrosine, Asparagine, Tryptophan, Asparagine, Serine, Phenylalanine, Glycine, Leucine, Arginine, Tyrosine.
